Many brides to be have an idea of what their dream wedding is. And usually this idea is very detailed and it includes the venue where they want the ceremony to be performed, be it a church or a special place that means something to them. For the most part this place is close to wherever they live of where they grew up, but some people dream a little bigger and imagine their dream wedding in a foreign country. This may be the case even for people who don’t regularly plan their wedding but, when the time comes, decide on a foreign venue to house their wedding ceremony and the reception.
The logistics of getting married abroad used to be a lot more complicated than they are nowadays. With the advent of low cost travel, the euro being the widespread currency in many European places and with English becoming such a common language, it’s easy to take your wedding dress, wedding jewellery and all the guests and move them abroad for the wedding. And if you pick a place that is both beautiful and has a meaning for the couple, that has all the makings to be a very touching wedding.
